Location and landscape
Castel del Monte is located in the southern part of the Gran Sasso massif, within the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga. It is perched on the slopes of Mount Bolza, at an altitude of 1346 meters above sea level. From its narrow streets and stone houses, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Tirino valley.
